SeatGuru – pick the right seat on the next flight

http://www.seatguru.com/

I just found out about this site. As much as I travel I expect to use it a lot. It's always hard trying to figure out the best seat on the plane. This will help. Here's their spin on the site:

The ultimate source for airplane seating, in-flight amenities, and airline information.

  • Detailed seatmap graphics
  • In-depth comments about seats with limited recline, reduced legroom, and misaligned windows
  • Color-coding to help identify superior and substandard seats
  • In-seat power port locations
  • Galley, lavatory, exit row, and closet locations

Sound Effects Site – SoundSnap.com

Soundsnap is the best platform to find and share free sound effects and loops- legally. It is a collection of original sounds made or recorded by its users, and not songs or sound FX found on commercial libraries or sample CD's. It was originally started by a small group of sound people from all over the world whose common belief is that sounds and samples should be free for everyone to use in their projects, commercial or not.Uusers are a diverse mix of sound designers, sound artists, web game developers, filmmakers and music producers. Hobbyists and home video makers are welcome too.

Enough doom & gloom - let's play some games
I'm sure Prevention magazine is not the first place you would look for time-wasters but, they have a pretty good variety of them. You can choose to play "fun games" or "brain games."

Note to self….   Try out Jott.com

I'm giving this a try.  It seems to be a new thing that a lot of people are starting to do so why not give it a try. (note:  I just added a link to TwittwrVision.  This is a kewl site that displys twitters on a scrolling world map.)
Exploratorium Online

One of the most memorable vacations for our kids included a visit to the Exploratorium.  Their web site brings the principle of exploring science to the web.  Enjoy!
Nice Image Site

http://www.atoptics.co.uk/index.htm

This site has some great pictures. These are the kind that make great nature backgrounds for your desktop.

Their official description of the site is:
"Light playing on water drops, dust or ice crystals in the atmosphere produces a host of visual spectacles - rainbows, halos, glories, coronas and many more. Some can be seen almost every day or so, some are once in a lifetime sights. Find out where to see them and how they form. Then seek and enjoy them outdoors."

mygazines - a great site to find free magazines online

Wow, this ia a week for great new web sites.

"Mygazines is your free place to browse, share, archive and customize unlimited magazine articles uploaded by you, the Mygazines community. "
